The following log is based on reports from the Holmen and Onalaska police and fire departments.

Onalaska Police Department

Monday, June 16

12:42 p.m. — An Elmwood Partners employee reported someone stole three iron T’s valued at $400 each from an Emerald Valley construction site.

1:30 p.m. — Police responded to a retail theft complaint at the Shopko in Onalaska.

4:52 p.m. — A 78-year-old man on the 200 block of Edward Drive reported someone had stolen the license plate from his vehicle sometime over the weekend.

5:28 p.m. — A woman reported her purse had been stolen while she was at Wal-Mart and later returned to her place of employment. However, a wedding ring and $40 cash had been removed from her wallet. The ring was valued at $5,000.

Tuesday, June 17

10:53 a.m. — A Baraboo man is suspected of committing prescription fraud by using the names of an Onalaska man and a Sparta woman.

2:43 p.m. — An Onalaska man was arrested for disorderly conduct for pushing his wife down and knocking over a fan at their residence on the 1100 block of Redwood Street. The man had a fake Social Security card and is in the country illegally.

9:55 p.m. — A 14-year-old girl reported an iPod was stolen from her purse while she was at the skate park.

Wednesday, June 18

10:42 a.m. — An 82-year-old woman reported someone stole her cane from her vehicle while it was parked at Wal-Mart.

12:06 p.m. — A 51-year-old Onalaska man was arrested for battery for striking another man in the Lindy’s Subs parking lot. The 43-year-old victim had passed the 51-year-old on Highway 53, sounding the horn as he passed. The driver he had passed accelerated to catch up, and followed him to Lindy’s.

1:26 p.m. — A 24-year-old Winona, Minn., woman was arrested at the Baymont Inn for issuing worthless checks in Trempealeau County and for retail theft in Onalaska.

Thursday, June 19

10:56 a.m. — A 77-year-old woman reported someone stole a lawn ornament valued at $125 from her yard on the 1300 block of Highway SS overnight.

4:48 p.m. — A 34-year-old man reported someone stole a statue valued at $50 from his front porch on the 500 block of 20th Avenue South overnight.

Friday, June 20

12:06 a.m. — A Sparta man is being sought as a suspect in a domestic battery incident on the 1800 block of East Avenue North. The man had entered the home of his ex-girlfriend and child and struck another man that was at the residence.

6:24 a.m. — A 43-year-old woman reported a radar detector valued at $200 stolen from her van while it was parked overnight on the 2300 block of Franklin Street.

11:25 a.m. — A 40-year-old man reported someone stole a copper bird bath from his front yard on the 900 block of Tahoe Drive over the weekend.

3 p.m. — A number of items were stolen from the Onalaska High School trailer on Hilltopper Place. The locks had been cut off the trailer and 13 items valued at $2585.15 were missing.

Saturday, June 21

2:47 a.m. — A 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on the 400 block of Main Street. He had been stopped for excessive speed and tested .161 on a preliminary breath test.

6:44 p.m. — A 60-year-old woman on the 800 block of Critter Court reported medications were missing from her home after building staff had come in to help her clean. There have been repeated thefts of coins, gift cards and other small items since she had moved in there and was receiving help from building staff.

9:24 p.m. — A 23-year-old man reported someone broke into his residence on the 900 block of 12th Avenue South while he and his roommate were out of town. A 42-inch television, cables and remote controls valued at $1,800 were taken.

Sunday, June 22

9:57 a.m. — A 42-year-old woman reported her bicycle stolen from her garage on the 2300 block of Krause Road.

Holmen Police Department

Monday, June 16

No time given — A 45-year-old man reported medications stolen from his home on the 3200 block of South Locust Avenue. An ex-girlfriend from Onalaska is suspected.

12:38 p.m. — A women reported her car was damaged while at the Holmen Aquatic Center or Features Restaurant.

7:57 p.m. — A 50-year-old man reported being hit by objects while mowing his lawn on the 1500 block of Holley Street. He thought at first it was debris from the mowing, but police found two teenagers shooting a pellet gun. The gun was confiscated.

Tuesday, June 17

8:11 a.m. — A 13-year-old boy was referred to juvenile services for disorderly conduct after punching another student in the stomach on May 23. The victim fell to the ground and began vomiting.

11:48 p.m. — An 8-year-old boy was reported missing from his home on the 1900 block of Crooked Avenue. When police arrived, they found the boy sleeping in his bedroom and the mother appeared to be intoxicated.

Wednesday, June 18

11:05 a.m. — A 25-year-old man was charged with domestic disorderly conduct for physically shaking his wife and removing the battery cable from her car and her cell phone when she tried to leave the family home on the 3000 block of Pertzsch Drive.

Thursday, June 19

11:49 a.m. — A resident on the 700 block of Empire Street reported someone keeps dumping tires behind his shed. The previous night someone dumped 25 tires.

1:02 p.m. — A 43-year-old man reported someone threw a brick through the patio window of his home on the 200 block of Scott Drive. The cost for the repairs is estimated at $1,525. Officers also noted a nearby residence had an obscenity written on the stairs of the residence.

1:46 p.m. — Someone stole two solar lawn lights from the residence on the 1100 block of Second Avenue East.

Sunday, June 21

12:52 a.m. — Five teenagers were cited for underage drinking while at a party on the 800 block of Starlite Drive. Preliminary breath test results ranged from .06 to .14.

Sunday, June 22

10:13 p.m. — Six teenagers were given a verbal warning for walking around the block, into people’s lawns and making a lot of noise. They were told to go home.

Monday, June 23

5:02 a.m. — A resident on the 60 block of Janet Lane reported a strange man walking through properties, going up driveways and looking into cars. The man was located on Debbie Lane and said he hadn’t been looking into cars.

Tuesday, June 17

5:55 a.m. — First responder call on Mason Street for a person with an unknown medical problem.

7:25 a.m. — First responder call on Second Avenue North for a person injured in a fall.

8:07 p.m. — First responder call on 16th Avenue North for a person who passed out.

8:19 p.m. — First responder call on 6th Avenue North for a person with difficulty breathing.

Wednesday, June 18

7:15 a.m. — Fire call on Marco Road and Highway S for a traffic accident with injuries.

8:36 a.m. — First responder call on Critter Court for a person with back pain.

9 a.m. — First responder call on Critter Court for a person injured in a fall.

10:32 a.m. — First responder call on Eighth Avenue South for a person with dementia.

Thursday, June 19

2:15 a.m. — First responder call on Highway 16 for a person with chest pain.

2:33 p.m. — First responder call on Hilltopper Drive for a car/bicycle collision.

5:49 p.m. — First responder call on 16th Avenue South for a defibrillator alarm.

Friday, June 20

Midnight — Fire call on Kinney Coulee Road for a cooking fire.

Midnight — First responder call on Kinney Coulee Road for a person with an unknown medical problem.

12:21 a.m. — First responder call on East Avenue North for a person hurt in a fight.

8:27 a.m. — First responder call on 13th Court for a person injured in a fall.
