Julia Owens of Onalaska, a junior communication studies and theatre major at South Dakota State University in Brookings, will make her debut this summer with the university’s Prairie Repertory Theatre, playing Bernice in “Bingo” and Ruth in “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” Owens also appeared in university productions of “Macbeth” and “Aladdin, Jr” and works for the PRT as a costume assistant in addition to acting duties.
Lindsey Keil of Onalaska graduated summa cum laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a master’s degree in speech language pathology. She is the daughter of Ward and Linda Keil.
Christina Hoelker and Kyle Schimek, both of Onalaska, were named to the spring semester 2008 dean’s list at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich.
Katherine Champion of Onalaska was named to the spring semester 2008 dean’s list at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn.
