.
I read the recent letter from Joseph Upton with great concern, as we in Congressman Ron Kind’s office go to every effort to respond in a timely and substantive fashion to the hundreds of constituent contacts we receive every day through phone calls, e-mails and letters.

Looking through our records, they show that in each of the nearly 30 times Mr. Upton has contacted our office since last summer on a variety of issues, we have responded to him every single time. I apologize if Mr. Upton didn’t agree with the response, or perhaps it wasn’t the exact response he was looking for, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t always made a good faith effort to address his concerns.

We encourage Mr. Upton and all constituents to contact our office with questions or comments and we will continue to do our best to respond appropriately.

Anne Lupardus Hanson is Rep. Ron Kind’s communications director.
