A local student who attends the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is taking part in the school’s Senior Art Exhibition, which features work by graduating seniors.

Rachel Abraham, a 2003 graduate of Onalaska High School, will have a sculpture in the Spring 2008 Senior Art Exhibition, which runs through May 9 in the University Art Gallery, Center for the Arts.

Abraham said she focuses on jewelry, metals and sculptures because she enjoys working with the mind dimension of these mediums. Abraham, who is majoring in art and sociology, is the daughter of Jeff and Pat Abraham.

Admission is free. The exhibit includes the work of 17 graduating seniors.

Exhibit hours are noon to 8 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, noon to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and during Toland Theatre events.

For more information, contact the art department at 785-8230 or log onto www.uwlax.edu/art/gallery.
